The Department of Electronic Commerce was established in 2002. In 2005, it established the “China Center for Payment Systems Research Center of Southwestern University of Finance and Economics” with the People's Bank of China, focusing on emerging e-commerce models, especially Internet finance and sharing economy.
There are 20 full-time teachers in the e-commerce department, including 2 doctoral supervisors, 3 professors, 13 associate professors, **doctoral degree holders, and 1 member of the Ministry of Education Teaching Steering Committee.
The e-commerce department mainly undertakes the undergraduate talent training tasks of the college e-commerce major (payment and settlement direction) and "e-commerce", "electronic payment and settlement", "network marketing", "Internet finance", "business research methods", "online entrepreneurship" Teaching tasks such as Chain and Logistics Management.
The Department of Electronic Commerce has established long-term friendly cooperative relations with Alibaba, China UnionPay, Jingdong and other enterprises and institutions, as well as many city and state business departments throughout the province. It also has long-term close cooperative relations with many famous universities and colleges at home and abroad; Excellent students can fully participate in the eBEREA undergraduate exchange program and study in five outstanding universities in Europe for one year; excellent undergraduate graduates will be recommended to the University of Hong Kong, City University of Hong Kong, Singapore Management University and other cooperative institutions for further study.
Since the establishment of the department, the teachers have been in Information and Management, "Decision Support Systems", "International Journal of Electronic Commerce", "International Journal of Information Management", "Electronic Commerce Research and Application", "Computers in Human Behavior", "International Journal of Production Research". "Behaviour & Information Technology" "Management World", "Nankai Management Review", "Scientific Research Management" and other well-known domestic and foreign journals published ** high-level academic papers.
